Hello Business Developers. We have some exciting new developments in our Affiliate program that you should know about. You should all be working through the Quickstart checklist right now. One of the items on the checklist is preparing your contact list. You should be working with your team leader to develop strategies for introducing your contacts to REIC. I’m excited to tell you about a new option that could be just what you are looking for. The REIC marketing team has announced that they will do a direct mail campaign, at their expense, for any business developer who can provide a list of 500 or more names with mailing addresses. This can be your own list or a list you get from one of your registered Affiliates, or even a combined list from two or more affiliates. The full $800 commission will be paid out to Business Developers or $400 each to the BD and his registered Affiliate.
Read on, because this gets better. The first three Business Developers who provide a lists of 5,000 or more names and addresses get will each receive an i-pad touch as a reward for helping us jumpstart this program. Stephen Miller will tell you more about that on this video: http://www.vimeo.com/13719185. Check it out!

Some Key Skills Associated with Success in Sales
by ASkabelund on Jun.25, 2010, under Uncategorized
Learn to Accept and Make Rejection Your Friend.
For every business that succeeds 10 fail, another 10 don’t even get started really. Being able to face failure and learn from it is a valuable lesson for your future business opportunities. Failure really isn’t failure as long as you learn. Take one step at a time, seek advice, seek assistance from others. Use all the resources you have to learn and strengthen your business. Learning is progress.
Always Be Networking.
Oops! I hate to use the word “selling” as it can have such a negative connotation, so I’ve substituted the word “networking”. To be successful we need to have the ability to always be selling/networking with others, sharing your skills, knowledge, and most of all your service or product with others. This will greatly improve your chances to succeed.
You Must Be Truly Sold On Your Product Or Service.
As we are sharing REIC with others, think about what does our service really do for them? How has it worked for you? What is your belief level of REIC’s services? The Executive Team? What is your passion for representing this service? If your belief level is waning, read, watch, or listen to our clients testimonials. Ask the executives to share with you their passion and experience for our products and services. Build and edify each other. These things will help with your belief level. If you don’t have the services or products REIC offers, you should work to be familiar with them. Read “The Strait Path to Real Estate Wealth” by Kris Krohn. Part 4 & 5
4. Evidence/Proof of Why You Should Care-Strengthen credibility, build confidence, show it through true and verifiable stats related to the stated benefit, names strengthen claims
Examples:
“In a year and a half Duncan acquired 25 properties.
“REIC helped Trent turn a bad situation into a good one”
“REIC helped Ben King with an income less than $13 an hour buy 2 properties with $1200 a month cash flow”
“Because of REIC there are over 100 new millionaires on the Wasatch Front in Utah”
5. Schedule the next event/Permission to move ahead
Set the expectation of moving toward attending or viewing an REIC seminar. Save time. Build credibility.
Examples:
“I think we could do the same for you. Could we schedule a time for you to see the seminar?”
“This is an incredible program, I am sure we could do something similar for you. Would you like to see the Webinar tomorrow or Thursday?”
“I’m interested in your goals and vision for retirement. Do you have a few minutes now to see the seminar on DVD?”
Now create your own Approach. Here is an example :
“Hello, This is Susan Casper with REIC. We help people secure their retirement through Real Estate Investing. Our clients experience personal attention, confidence, and a personalized game plan that minimizes risk, time, effort, and maximizes profits. In just the last 2 years my friend, Kevin, bought 25 properties. I think we can do the same for you. Do you have some time in the next week when we can get together?” (Do not copy this…you can use some of it, but whatever experience-like Kevins- you should have permission from the person offering their experience to use it. )

Elevator Speeches-Approaches
There are different sections of an Approach. The purpose of this first part is to turn contacts into prospects, qualify your contacts based on interest level, and for setting an appointment to view a presentation.
Important Parts of an Approach
1- Who I am
2-What I do
3-Why Clients Like you care – how our product helps the customer
4-Evidence/Proof of Why You Should Care
5-Schedule the next event/Permission to move ahead
1-Who I am. The purpose of this step is to Break the Ice and build rapport. Establish your professionalism and credibility. Let them know who you are.
Be Confident. Stand in your power.
Keep it short-no more than 12 words.
Examples:
Hello Mrs. Jones, I’m Jane Doe with REIC.
Mrs. Smith, it’s Jane Doe. Mary Johnson suggested I give you a call.
Mr. Hamblin, it’s David Jacobi. I read about you in the University Times.
Hello, my name is James Sollis with REIC—you might have heard of us.
Hi, my name is Monica with the Real Estate Investment Companies (REIC).
2-What I do. Position what our company does. Establish what your role is with the client.
Come up with your own examples. Here are a few I came up with:
REIC helps people to secure their future retirement through real estate investing.
REIC is the Ultimate Investment Experience helping people create a solid retirement.
REIC is the best Real Estate Investing System bar none.
3-Why Clients Like you care – how our product helps the customer [Benefits] Focus on benefits to the client. Inspire contact to move forward. To see a presentation.
Share Features-Advantages-Benefits
Examples:
We turn poor performing assets into high performing assets
Our clients experience personal attention, personalized game plan, and confidence in investing with minimal risk, time, effort, and maximized profits.
We empower individuals to create a retirement within 5-10 years, $6000 to $7000 or more a month, owning 4 or more homes free and clear.
Parts 4 & 5 Will post tomorrow.–

BD Success
by Nik Krohn on Jun.21, 2010, under BD Weekly Update
Here is a letter that one of our business developers wrote to kris krohn:
Kris,
I wanted to share with you three recent success stories. A week ago you challenged the business developers to write down the # of people we were going to invite by a certain time. I set a realistic goal that I was going to invite 1 person that day. A few minutes after the call ended a colleague of mine came into my office at work to chat. After our conversation ended about work, I pulled out a DVD, gave it to him, and invited him to watch the DVD and told him how REIC had changed my life. He watched it a few days later and then told me he wasn’t interested.
“Not a problem. Thanks for taking the time to watch it” I replied. I wasn’t emotionally attached, I felt empowered and good about myself that I had accomplished my goal. But I asked him one last question, “Why don’t we do a partnership on a home together? I have the team of experts and I know you have the money. We can split the profits” He got really excited about that possibility and has since done a lot more investigating into REIC and is now actually seriosly thinking of becoming a member, he’s filling out the Financial Checkup, he’s reading your book, and wants to meet with you to get his game plan. This happened all because I accepted your challenge, accomplished it, AND didn’t let an initial “no” affect me.
Second success: Another person saw my video testimonial through my LinkedIn profile, went to a seminar, met with Chris Wood, and became a member just last week.
Third Success: My mother-in-law has been in financial ruin for years. She’s been a teacher her whole life, divorced twice and will have to work her whole life (and she’s 59 years old). I told her about my REO investment and how it could help her with her $100k IRA and that she could actually retire. She got excited and really wants to do it. She is filling out the Financial Checkup, too.
Thanks for everything you are doing to help us all out. You are a passionate and inspired leader and I am joining you in your mission to financially liberate millions of people.
